2012: Year of the Wedding: Part 3

As I previously blogged, 2012 was the year of the wedding for the Milfisch family.  Our third and final wedding took place October 6, 2012.  My long time friend Megan married her high school sweet heart Andrew.  Megan and I were friends through another friend in high school.  During high school we only met if the other friend was involved.  After high school we both attended the same university.  While at college Megan, our friend Ashley, and I would meet once a week for dinners.  As time went and we graduated, Ashely moved away, but Megan and I still met for dinner once a week.

Megan and I met once a week for dinner for five years.  Our conversations were what we both needed at the time.   Never a serious topic, always something frivolous.  Our conversations allowed us both to stop focusing on our crazy lives and enjoy the silly things in life.  Movies, families, sports were all fair topics during our weekly dinners. One of my biggest disappointments when I moved to Florida was the end of my weekly dinners with Megan.

Andrew proposed to Megan after we moved to Florida.  When she gave me her wedding date I did not hesitate to book a flight back to The Mitten.  Megan and Andrew had a traditional wedding and themed reception.  They picked a James Bond theme for their reception.  Their reception was fun for guests and a little glimpse into their quirky personalities. I loved the wedding, love my friends, and am so happy I could celebrate their day!
